The piece, ‘Scientists are unravelling the mysteries of pain’ by Yudhijit Bhattacharjee, sets out to explain how the international war on opioids has meant that scientists’ “quest to understand the biology of pain and explore new ways to treat it has taken on fresh urgency.”
